This is Pete! He is a 9 week old Miniature Aussie/Sheltie mix that weighs about 4 pounds and could be 25 pounds when he is full grown. Pete came to us with his 5 siblings. Their owner realized that they could not continue to live in the cold barn until homes were found for them so, they put them in our rescue to give them a warm foster home. We will have him neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. We will work with them on house training and crate training. Pete will be an active guy that will require daily exercise to expend his energy so a home with a yard would be great. He will be a fun dog to train for activities such as fetching and frisbee catching. He will make someone a great new family member and companion. Like all puppies, he would benefit greatly from attending an obedience class to help him with socialization and learning house rules. He has sharp little teeth that find lots of things to chew on and will require supervision and appropriate chew toys. His adoption fee is $400. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
