Meet Esmerelda! She is believed to be a shih tzu mix. She is estimated by the vet to be about 2.5 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. She came to us from a local shelter where she was dropped off when her owner became ill. Esmerelda is a little shy at first but will warm up nicely and be your best furry friend! She is very happy being a lap dog! She is learning to walk well on a leash but continued work and training is necessary. She is house and crate trained. Esmerelda is a typical small dog and so care would need to be taken if adopted to someone with small children. She will make some family a great little furry member!! The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
