Meet Mario! He is a Border Collie mix. Mario is about 9 months old and came to our rescue from a local shelter. He currently weighs 44 pounds. Mario knows "come, sit, down and shake". He is incredibly smart and learns things very quickly. Mario does require daily exercise to expend some of his Border Collie energy. Just look at his sweet face! He loves fetch and will bring the ball back to you. Mario is house and crate trained. He walks great on a leash and loves to ride in the car. Mario gets along with other dogs, cats and children. In very typical Border Collie fashion, Mario will herd. This is very common of Borders as it is an instinct for the breed. He would be best suited to a household that is more active, and the family wanted a pet that is eager to play or work. . The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
