Meet Joey!!!  He is a 1 year old black schnauzer.  He currently weighs about 18 pounds.  He came to us when his owner could no longer care for him and surrendered him to a local shelter.  Joey has a full tail and for some unknown reason, he only has half of his right ear.  The vet said this could have been from birth.  He hears fine and this gives him no trouble what so ever. He is a very sweet boy but is filled with a ton of puppy energy!  He needs a family who be committed to him, take him for walks, and play with him,  to expend is puppy energy, and see him through his puppyhood.  He craves attention and wants very much to be by your side.  He will benefit greatly from obedience training and socialization.  He gets along with other dogs, cats and older children.  Joey is very loving and likes to play fetch.   He is adorable and smart.  The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.  He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
