Meet Tara!! She is a beautiful 4 month old puppy who is believed to be a Long Hair Chihuahua/Chinese Crested mix. She currently weighs about 6 pounds and may reach 18 to 20 pounds when full grown. Tara came to our rescue from a shelter where she was surrendered by her owner. Tara is very sweet and wants to give kisses all day long! She also loves to be held. She is very lovable and enjoys people. Tara gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. Tara is working on house training and crate training. She is doing incredibly well with both house and crate training. Tara is very smart and learns very quickly!! She is also going to be working on walking on a leash. Being a puppy she will greatly benefit from obedience training to learn to be a good family member. Tara needs a family who understands the trials and tribulations of puppyhood and will commit to seeing her through this transition and commit to her for her entire life. Tara will need to go to a home with children who are a bit older, 8 years or older. As a rule, small dogs typically do not do well with younger children. The adoption fee is $250.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
