Meet Hammy!! She is a 6 years old small black lab mix - only about 30 - 35 pounds. She is both adorable and lovable! She is house trained and crate trained, although we rarely use her crate any more - she still likes her crate and will go and hang out in it. She knows all the basic commands/training: sit, lay down, drop it, shake, up. She loves other dogs, she hasn't been around cats much - the few times she was around a cat she wanted to play with them. Hammy is super friendly, and loves attention. She loves to play and run. Hammy will benefit greatly from obedience training. She is learning to walk on a leash but continued work and training is necessary. Hammy will require daily walks or exercise to expend some of her energy. Do to her excitability, Hammy does still jump up sometimes. the foster family is working hard to correct this and she is already making improvements. She will make some family a great little furry member!! The adoption fee is $150.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
