Izzy is believed to be a 1 year old Basset hound mix. She has the body and short legs but not the eyes and ears of a basset.
She weighs 27 pounds and is full grown. She recently had 6 healthy puppies that have all been adopted.
She is spayed, miro-chipped, heartworm negative, current on flea and tick treatment and up to date on vaccinations.
She is house trained and is not crated.
She knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash.
She is good with people, children and other dogs. She is a bit timid at first and will need a few days to warm up to her new home and then she will be her happy, wiggly self.
She loves to sit on your lap and to chew bones. She also likes to run in the yard. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard as her hound nose and prey drive could get her into trouble.
She would benefit greatly from attending an obedience class to help her with basic commands, good household manners and overall socialization.
She will make someone a wonderful companion and is looking for a forever home.
The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
