He is a purebred AKC long hair Chihuahua who is 1 1/2 years old.
Weighs 4 pounds, just a little guy!
He is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccinations. He has been on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention as well.
He is house and crate trained. BUT as with the majority of Chihuahuas he does not like to go out in inclimate weather and will use a potty pad.
He is good with people. He is a very sweet cuddly and very much a lap dog. We are requiring a home with children 12 or older so that they will understand him and his very small size.
He is good with other SMALL dogs but not so well with bigger dogs. He is a very typical Chihuahua thinking he is very large and in charge. He will get right in the face of larger dogs and bark at them. For his safety he will need to go to a home where there only small dogs or he is the only dog.
He is looking for his forever home and will make someone a great new family addition.
As do all young dogs, he would benefit greatly from attending an obedience class to help him with basic commands, good household behaviour and overall socialization.
The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neutered when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
