This is a very special pup named Whisper! She is a 10 month old Pit/Boxer mix. Whisper is deaf and is being trained with hand signals. She already knows, sit, down, back to sit, come, heel and fetch. She is super smart and wants to please. Lucky for her and us, we have a really great foster that has her and is teaching her all of these things. We will be happy to work with her new family on how to work with a deaf puppy. Whisper will need a home with a fenced yard so that she will always be contained and kept safe. She weighs about 40 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. She is house and crate trained. She came to us from a high kill shelter where her disability would have been a death sentence. She is a very sweet girl that gets along with everyone and children of all ages. She is good with other dogs but can't be trusted with cats. She would benefit from attending an obedience class to help her with basic commands, learning house rules, and for socialization. She is looking for her forever home and will make someone a great new family member. Her adoption fee is $100. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
