Meet Rita! She is believed to be a Pom mix and approximately 4 years old. Rita is about 9 pounds and is full grown. She is working hard on house training and is crate trained. She came to our rescue from a local shelter. Rita has had two seizures since being in the rescue. A local vet has examined Rita and completed total blood work on her in which everything is normal. She could have more seizures periodically in her lifetime or they could stop. At this point the vet stated that she is healthy. Rita enjoys other dogs and will be learning to walk nicely on a leash. As with all dogs, Rita will benefit greatly from attending obedience training to establish much needed rules, boundaries, and limitations in the home with your new furry family member. Rita loves adults and kids, and loves being a lap dog. She is super sweet! Her adoption fee is $100. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
