Meet Franklin! He is believed to be a Havenese/miniature poodle/shih tzu mix. He came to us from a local shelter where he was found as a stray, all matted and in need of a great home! Franklin is tiny at about 7 pounds but don't let size fool you! As with all small dogs, he thinks he is a big dog at times. He is absolutely adorable, very sweet, full of energy and ready to play!! As with all small dogs, Franklin has very sharp, needle like teeth that find little fingers and toes of small children very fun to nibble on. We recommend dogs this size go to homes with children above the age of 8 years old. He is house and crate trained. Franklin gets along well with other dogs. As with all dogs, Franklin will benefit greatly from attending dog training for both good socialization and to begin establishing much needed rules, boundaries, and limitations in the home. He will make someone a great but active furry family member! His adoption fee is $250. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
