Meet Kayla! She is a 4 yr. old lab german shepherd mix. Kayla weighs approx. 50 lbs. Sheʼs great with older kids, great with other dogs, she loves to play fetch, or should we say keep away, she needs a big yard. She is extremely smart. She does feel protective about her home and yard, but quickly warms up to people. She is scared of thunderstorms and fireworks and may throw up if sheʼs home alone during either of them. She eats hypoallergenic food for her skin. (She gets skin infections otherwise). She is completely house trained, and crate trained. The perfect home would be someone who has the time to play with her and the space to let her have fun outside. She also plays great by herself. Sheʼs not hyper. She has her excited moments, especially when she greets you at the door. But for the most part, sheʼs mellow. Sheʼs got the playfulness of a lab and the smarts, and sometimes the attitude, of a German Shepherd. Her and her brother are the only ones left of her litter. Her mother and other siblings were poisoned and all died. The $150.00 adoption fee covers the cost for spay/neuter surgery, rabies, DHLPP, kennel cough vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Kayla will go home with a new leash and collar, and a K-9 training DVD.
