Meet Merlin!! He is a stunning, 1-year-old German Shepherd puppy. He currently weighs about 65 pounds and is a large dog. Full grown, Merlin very well may tip the scale at 75 pounds. Merlin came into our rescue from a local shelter where he was surrendered by his owner. Merlin is exceptionally sweet, smart, and very eager to please. He has had very little structure and needs to learn to be a good family member. Merlin will take a very loving, patient home who understands he is a large puppy. He make look full grown, but he is still a baby. Merlin will greatly benefit from obedience training. He needs to learn boundaries, rules and limitations. He is VERY affectionate and loves attention. Merlin is excellent with cats. He gets along great with other dogs as well. Merlin LOVES everyone, including children. We have had Merlin neutered, given him all of his vaccinations including DHLPP and Bordetella, rabies, and have started him on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. He is completely house and crate trained. Due to his extremely large size, Merlin can only go to a home with children 8 and older. He will make some family a great furry family member!! The adoption fee is $200.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
