Meet Sable!! She is believed to be a purebred German Shepherd. Sable is 4 years old and weighs about 75 pounds. She will not get any bigger. Sable was surrendered to a local shelter when she was diagnosed as heartworm positive and her owners could not afford to treat her. Sable has been treated for her heartworms and is recovering very nicely. She will not be able to leave our rescue for another 3 weeks until her recovery period is complete. Sable is very friendly, and loves attention. She will benefit greatly from obedience training. She is completely house and crate trained. Sable gets along great with other dogs and kids. She is learning to walk on a leash but continued work and training is necessary. Sable will require daily walks or exercise to expend some of her energy. She will make some family a great little furry member!! The adoption fee is $200.00. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when neccessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming, heart worm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. She will go home with a collar, leash, training DVD, and vaccination record.
