Meet Teddy!  
*His adoption fee is $400.00.  He is ready now for adopting to his forever home.  
*He is a 4 year old Cairn Terrier.
*As with most terrier breeds, Teddy has a high energy level.  He loves to run and explore the backyard in his foster home.  He will require regular walks to expend this high energy level.  He does walk pretty well on a leash.
* While Teddy grew up with a young child in his previous home, he became much less tolerant of the 4 year old in the home.  There were 2 incidents where Teddy expressed his discomfort of the child's behavior.  First, he growled and snapped at the child when he/she ran to greet him.  Second, he was asleep lying close to the child when he/she reached over to pat Teddy on the head.  This time Teddy did bite the child on the thigh.  No breaking of the skin but did leave a welt and bruise.  For this reason we are requiring Teddy be adopted in a home where there are no children, even visiting grandchildren.  This requirement is best for both a child and Teddy. 
*Teddy is a sweet affectionate boy and loves lying on the lap of his adult humans. 
*He also gets along with other all sizes of other dogs in the home.
*Teddy is both house and crate trained and is completely quiet when he is in his crate.

*The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 16 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
