Meet Rico! This cute little guy weighs in at a whole 2.5 lbs. He is, at best guess, a chihuahua/cairn terrier mix. Rico was found tossed out behind a store with no hair. He was diagnosed with mange, but was treated and all his hair is growing back nicely. Rico is small, but he has a loving heart the size of a Great Dane! If you cuddle him close he will snuggle in and go to sleep. Rico loves to play with is brother as well as with toys. Rico is potty pad trained and will need continued work on house breaking. He will make a perfect lap dog for someone. Because of his size, Rico will only be approved for adopters with children 8yrs and older. He has been around toddlers and is VERY frightened by them. Rico is scared of anything bigger than him, so he will need time to adjust to other dogs and cats, but he has been introduced to them. If you are interested in this little guy, please apply. The adoption fee is $300.00. This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery. Current DHLPP, Kennel Cough, and Rabies (if old enough) vaccinations. Heartworm test (if old enough), heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention treatment, and de-worming treatment. Rico will go home with a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD and vaccination record.
